
Kamasi Washington, Bonobo and Floating Points Debut New Music for Shinichirō Watanabe’s New Anime Series Lazarus
The wait is over! A first taste of the music from Adult Swim‘s highly-anticipated new anime series Lazarus has arrived, with three new tracks Kamasi Washington, Bonobo and Floating Points debuting today. Director Shinichirō Watanabe, known for Cowboy Bebop and other cult classics, tasked these three acclaimed artists with composing distinct soundtracks for the thrilling sci-fi series. Set in the year 2052, the story revolves around a former miracle drug that has gone awry, posing a dire threat to humanity, and features captivating action sequences designed by John Wick director Chad Staheslki.
Produced by Sola Entertainment and animated by Studio MAPPA, Lazarus will premiere on Saturday, April 5 at midnight on Adult Swim with new episodes available the next day on Max. The full-length soundtracks by Kamasi Washington, Bonobo and Floating Points will be released on Friday, April 11.
