In this Craig Brewer directed comedy Eddie Murphy portrays real-life legend Rudy Ray Moore, a comedy and rap pioneer who proved naysayers wrong when his hilarious, obscene, kung-fu fighting alter ego, Dolemite, became a 1970s Blaxploitation phenomenon. Dolemite Is My Name (Music from the Netflix Film) features music by Memphis-based artist and award-winning composer/producer Scott Bomar (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan). The soundtrack also includes new music performed by the film’s leading cast members Eddie Murphy, Craig Robinson and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, in addition to a star-studded lineup of blues and soul greats including Bobby Rush, The Bo-Keys, Blind Mississippi Morris and more.
