The Glass Castle Music By Joel P West

Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12) The Glass Castle tells the gripping story of a young girl who comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who is an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children’s imagination with hope of a future Glass Castle as a distraction to their poverty.
The film is an adaptation of the 2005 memoir by Jeannette Walls. It spent a total of 261 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list.
The Glass Castle stars Brie Larson, Naomi Watts and Woody Harrelson.

The film features a beautiful and evocative score by Joel P West (who also composed the music for Short Term 12). The soundtrack also includes the original country song Summer Storm based on Rex Walls‘ writings and the beautiful ballad Don’t Fence Me In performed by Darla Hawn.

Lionsgate Films is releasing The Glass Castle in theaters on August 11, 2017.
