Directed by Brett Haley (I Will See You In My Dreams) and starring Nick Offerman, Kiersey Clemons, Toni Colette, and Ted Danson, Hearts Beat Loud tells the story of widower and aging Brooklyn hipster Frank who decides to start a band with his teenage daughter Sam just before she leaves home to attend college in California. When a song of theirs finds success online, it complicates Frank’s attempts to let go of his dreams of stardom and allow his daughter to find her own path in life.
This beautiful and heartfelt film was a darling at the Sundance Film Festival. This vinyl edition features the five songs featured in the film and performed by Kiersey Clemons, Nick Offerman and Keegan DeWitt.
Gun Powder & Sky is releasing Hearts Beat Loud in theaters in NY and LA on June 8, 2018
