Reuniting with Lanthimos for their third collaboration, Academy Award®-nominated composer Jerskin Fendrix (Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness) delivers a grand, unrelenting orchestral score that mirrors the film’s feverish energy and emotional extremes. Recorded with the London Contemporary Orchestra at AIR Studios, the score combines sweeping strings, commanding brass, and thunderous percussion into a soundscape that’s as operatic and chaotic as the film’s central abduction plot.

Written before filming began, the music emerged from Fendrix’s response to three cryptic words from Lanthimos — “Bees, Basement, Spaceship.” Building from those clues, Fendrix crafted a sonic architecture rooted in geometry, altitude, and motion, blurring the line between structure and chaos. The result is a towering orchestral work both cerebral and visceral, teeming with tension, beauty, and awe.

Across fifteen tracks, Fendrix’s score captures the pulse of Bugonia’s world — a collision of dread and absurdity underscored by flashes of grandeur. Within the film, the music lends both grit and gravity to the men’s delusional mission, echoing the absurd heroism and apocalypse that follow.
